6.1. Install CIT (UK) Remote Support (Host Edition) for Mac

Install our remote support software (host edition)

Our teamviewer host software is designed to run on your computer permanently in the background. It's a great way of receiving regular support quickly without having to download or manually launch our software each time. It's perfectly safe to use, and it requires your authorisation before we can connect.

After downloading the Host module via the (customized) link, you can start the installation process.

Run the Installer

Open the File:

Locate the downloaded file (e.g., TeamViewer_Host.dmg or TeamViewer_Host.pkg) in your Downloads folder and open it. To find your downloads folder, click anywhere on your desktop (single tap) and then go up to the 'Go' menu and click on 'Downloads'.

Start the Installation:
Double-click on the installer icon (e.g., "Install TeamViewer" within the .dmg or the .pkg file itself) to launch the installation wizard and follow the instructions.

Follow the Installation Wizard

Accept Terms: Read and accept the End-User License Agreement (EULA) and Data Processing Agreement (DPA).

Proceed: Click "Continue" to move through the setup steps.
Install: Click "Install" and then enter your Mac's administrator password when prompted to grant permission.
Complete: Once the installation is confirmed, click "Close".

Configure Permissions (If Needed)

Open System Settings:

After installation, navigate to your Mac's System Settings to ensure TeamViewer Host has the necessary permissions.

Grant Screen Recording & Accessibility:

Go to Privacy & Security settings, find "Screen Recording" and "Accessibility," and grant permission to TeamViewer Host by checking the relevant box
